
Nick has been an executive search professional for over twenty-five years, initially focusing on the banking and finance sector. He engaged in search and consulting across commercial, corporate, and investment banking as well as asset management including traditional funds management, alternative asset management and private equity. Since joining Sheldon Harris, Nick has had the opportunity to work across listed and unlisted corporates successfully executing numerous Board and C Level searches in sectors including infrastructure, technology, agriculture and technology. Prior to joining Sheldon Harris Nick worked for Korn Ferry, having responsibility for building that firms Financial Services practise in Melbourne.
Nick commenced his professional career with Cazenove & Co UK, joining the Asian Equities division in 1987. He entered the executive search industry in 1996 with A.Baillieu and Associates in Hong Kong. His sector focus was investment banking and asset management throughout the Asia Pacific region, including the sub-continent. In 2002, Nick became the major shareholder of the business. He subsequently sold the business in 2005 to a UK-based executive search firm Wellesley Partners, which was seeking to gain a foot hold in the Asia Pacific market.
For the following decade Nick shared responsibility for growing Wellesley Partners Asia Pacific further throughout the region which included opening offices in Singapore, Mumbai and Sydney. He also led key client relationships advising on complex people issues and growth strategies. In addition, Nick successfully completed several hundred senior executive search assignments across the region for existing global and regional institutions as well as new entrants to the Asia Pacific market.
Nick was raised in country New South Wales and educated in Melbourne receiving a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University.
Outside of work Nick enjoys a loud and frenetic household full of ideas and debate, escaping to the hills for fast quiet times on his motorcycle (T7) and swapping notes with anyone that’s up for a chat.
