Andrew Valentine Is A Partner With Sheldon Harris, Joining In 2023.
Andrew possesses over two decades’ human capital management experience with a particular focus on board and executive search, and leadership development. His professional experience has been gained in Australia and the United Kingdom where he has worked with boutique and global executive search firms including CTPartners and DH International. Most recently, he served as a Principal with Challis & Company, a boutique board and executive search firm, in Sydney.
Andrew’s search experience spans a range of industries, with an emphasis on financial and professional services, digital and technology, and private equity, and has included the appointment of company directors, chief executive officers (CEOs), and other C-suite executives at a range of large publicly-listed and government-owned corporations, medium-sized businesses, scale-up ventures and not-for-profits.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Macquarie University, a Master of Business Administration (Executive) with Distinction from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), jointly awarded by UNSW Sydney and the University of Sydney, and a Doctor of Philosophy (with Excellence) in management and economics from UNSW Sydney. His research has addressed aspects of corporate governance and strategic leadership, including CEO succession, and has featured in top-tier international publications including those of the Academy of Management and IZA – Institute for Labor Economics. Andrew also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the AGSM where he instructs strategy and management classes in the MBA program.
