Andrew brings over two decades of experience in executive search, leadership development and broader strategic leadership advisory work, gained across Australia and the UK. He has worked with global and boutique search firms in Australia and the UK and most recently served as a Principal at Challis & Company. His work spans listed, private and government‑owned organisations, as well as growth and purpose‑driven enterprises.
Distinctively, Andrew brings deep academic expertise alongside practitioner experience. He holds a PhD in management and economics (with excellence) from UNSW Sydney where he examined CEO succession and role of corporate governance in managing succession risks and opportunities. Clients value Andrew’s structured thinking, intellectual rigour and ability to translate complex leadership questions into clear, actionable decisions for boards and executives.
Andrew is also a faculty member of the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), where he teaches management, leadership and strategy in the AGSM’s suite of MBA programs.
Outside of work, he has been occasionally seen cycling around Sydney’s eastern suburbs and cheering on the Waratahs and Wallabies at home games.
